Being a Wizard ain't cheap
An incremental auto-shooter about being the smartest idiot in class.
The Premise
A poor wizard's guide to very fancy spells
Everyone else from adventuring school became a knight, a rogue, something sensible with a starting sword and a paycheck. Our hero chose magic. Bold move. Terrible move. He's now the weakest graduate in guild history, too broke to buy spells and too weak to get hired without them.
So he does what any underqualified wizard would do: stand just outside town and zap the same slimes over and over until he can afford to stop being useless.
How It Plays
Grind now, cast later
- It shoots itself. The wizard auto-casts at anything nearby — you just decide where the loot goes.
- Monsters are your ATM. Every kill drops the gold and essence that buy your way out of poverty.
- Spend it to survive. Upgrades, spells, and eventually the one absurd, way-too-expensive spell that makes it all worth it.
Latest Build
First look at the prototype
Basic enemy AI, the fireball projectile, and hitbox/hurtbox interactions are already working. The sprite art is still placeholder-tier — that part is promised to improve.
